Headlining the new Podcasts app with i OS 11 is an interface redesign.
While the overall idea of the app remains the same, Apple is making some tweaks to the design to improve the user experience.
A series of issues can prevent podcasts from syncing correctly to your i Phone, including an out-of-date version of i Tunes, old i Phone software, and improperly configured subscription settings on either your i Phone or your computer.
First make sure you are using the most updated version of i Tunes.
If not, you'll have to enable Auto downloads for the particular subscription from within the Podcasts app. As you can see, this is great if you've got a few channels that you listen to.
However, in case you've got podcasts channels where you listen to the episodes rarely / infrequently, it doesn't make sense to auto-download the episodes (which eats up a lot of space).
The Library tab is home to all of the podcasts you subscribe to, including saved episodes, downloaded episodes, and recently added episodes.
Connect your i Phone to your computer using the i Phone's USB cable, and then launch i Tunes on your computer if it does not launch automatically.
Auto-downloaded episodes can be removed from the app by tapping on the blue icon from right side, scroll down and tap on Remove Download.
You can also delete multiple episodes at once by tapping on ‘Edit‘ under the podcasts channel and marking the episodes and deleting them.
It also servers as the app store for applications for i OS devices such as the i Phone and i Pad.
If you spend a lot of time downloading podcasts onto your computer, it can be very frustrating to have them not sync to your i OS device.
